Another Sponzilli Landscape Group urban landscape installation, 565 Broome SoHo, is the first residential building in New York City designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop. Time Magazine named Renzo Piano one of the 100 most influential people in the world. It’s fitting that 565 Broome is SoHo’s tallest residential building, soaring 30 stories. The building offers breathtaking views of the Hudson River and lower Manhattan’s desirable and historic SoHo district.
Sponzilli Landscape Group installed the landscaping and plantings for the outdoor garden with a 92-foot high ceiling and a live green wall. Other landscape installations included the drive entrance, 5th floor atrium and 7th floor pool amenity space. The unmatched urban landscape plan called for 40’ Floridian olive trees, 25’ Carpinus or American Hornbeam trees, 10” caliper Dogwood trees, engineered soil and an elaborate remote irrigation system.
