Landscape Installation: Sponzilli Landscape Group
The Spiral, located at 66 Hudson Boulevard, is another landmark Sponzilli landscaping project. This impressive office tower is part of the Hudson Yards project, the largest private real estate project in the United States.
The Spiral features a series of cascading landscaped terraces, so every floor in the tower has an awe-inspiring outdoor landscaped area. The spiral landscaped tiers soar up the side of the 1,000 foot exterior and have become synonymous with the building’s name.
Sponzilli Landscape Group was contracted to install trees, perennials, ivy, and green walls in some of the most challenging conditions, even for New York City.
The intention was to connect each terrace with the building’s double-height atriums and other interior amenity spaces. This provides tenants with the option to use these amenity spaces as points of connection, rather than elevators.
