Junior Landscape Sales and Design
Sponzilli Landscape Group, a luxury Landscape Design/Build company, is currently seeking a junior landscape designer with at least 3 years of design and installation experience.
Position Summary:
We are looking for individuals with skills in AutoCAD, Structure Studio, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, LMN and Dynascape. 3D Modelling skills and rendering are definite assets. Candidates must have organizational, research, and communication skills. They must be self-motivated.
Daily tasks will include, but are not limited to, seeing a project through all its design phases, project estimating, preparing presentations, and creating construction drawings. This person will work effectively alone and collaborate with the Design team members, as well as production and administrative staff. This person will report directly to the Design Department Head.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Produce innovative and cutting-edge conceptual landscape designs utilizing Landscape Specific CAD programs like Dynascape.
- Must be a team player and communicate with others.
- Oversee the design scheduling to ensure deadlines are being met.
- Conduct site inventory and analysis.
- Communicate with other design professionals such as Architects, Engineers, etc.
- Prepare construction drawings, details, and specifications as per town ordinances.
- Estimating
- Contract writing
- Presentation preparation
- Assist Sales/Production team with ordering materials.
- Ability to sell small scale landscape projects.
Education/Experience
- 3+ years’ experience working as Landscape Designer or Landscape Architect.
- 3+ years’ experience working on residential projects.
- Bachelors in landscape architecture or landscape Design
- Proficient with CAD, LMN and Dynascape experience is preferred.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
- Knowledge of Photoshop and Sketchup, 3D imaging
- Knowledge of developing planting plans, grading plans, lighting plans, and construction details
- Knowledge of costs and uses of construction materials
- Knowledge of local plant material a MUST
- Licensed Landscape Architect a plus
