Project Description:
The client wanted a change from the city life and decided to build a 7,000-sf home in New Vernon, NJ. The site was an empty canvas. We designed the entire property from the driveway entrance piers to the natural stone veneer wall in the back. The plan included retaining the grade to allow for a grand lawn space. We used a combination of high-end paver selections, granite stone veneer, and bluestone accents.
Challenges:
On this property, the impervious coverage was an issue, especially because part of the coverage was taken up by the private road to the home. The homeowner wanted the driveway to be a specific width and plenty of patio space in the back yard for entertaining.
Solutions:
The driveway was designed and installed at a width of 15’. To achieve that we introduced plant beds within the patio areas in the back. We installed a beautiful gunite pool with a vanishing edge and an 8 ft wide gas burning fire pit. We combined the different living areas to maximize the space and installed a gorgeous pool patio.
