Project Description:

The client desired a large outdoor dining area and some living space. They do a lot of entertaining and wanted a clean look and some privacy. A water feature was added to the existing pool along with outdoor lighting.

Though most of the work was done in the back yard, we also installed a porcelain paver walkway in the front of the home. A sodded lawn was included along with some carefully chosen plantings.

Project Materials:

The porcelain walkway in the front yard was installed using BayRock Moon Porcelain Pavers.

For the back-yard patio, BayRock Moon Porcelain Pavers were also used. The seat wall was wet laid with lava rock veneer and capped with 14” wide Bluestone. Bluestone steppers with SynLawn artificial turf were added. And finally, a privacy fence was installed using Black Aluminum posts and black vinyl boards.

Project Description:
The homeowners were former clients of Sponzilli at their previous home. When they bought a new home there was no existing landscaping due to new construction. They loved their former landscape and style and wanted an updated version of that for their new home.

The front yard landscaping combines a variety of seasonal plantings that will have color each season even into the winter months. The colors of the plant materials help to complement and contrast the vibrant color of the home.

Landscape lighting fixtures were installed to highlight the plantings and accent the architectural fixtures of the 1st and 2nd floors of the home. The landscape lighting was provided by our sister company Lighthouse Outdoor Lighting of NJ.

A new bluestone walkway was installed in a serpentine design from the driveway to the front door using random sizes and a full range of bluestone colors. The bluestone material was provided by Braen Industries.

The backyard was a challenge due to its very limited space. A pool and spillover rounded spa were custom-designed for this narrow backyard and work exceptionally well. Landscape plantings were chosen to provide some privacy from surrounding properties and create a resort-like setting.

The entire backyard is retained by a massive masonry block wall system which allowed for a level yard. Bluestone was installed around the pool and patio space for relaxation and dining.
